About Me
- Name: Vanessa Oguchi
- Location: Tokyo, Japan
From Vancouver, Canada. Moved to Tokyo after 2 years in Shirasawa Village, Gunma. I taught English on the JET Programme at a Junior High and Elementary School in this village of 3,700 from August 2003 - July 2005. Moved to Tokyo to enjoy a bit of city life, teach English, then get into HR and take more pictures. And of course travel! I welcome all comments whether on the site itself or via email form. Constructive criticism/thoughts? Please email me! I use a Nikon F55 and a very old but handy Nikon Coolpix 885. I also got a Holga camera for my birthday in 2005! Currently, I am also using a Nikon D70...still learning how to use it. Photography Work/Volunteer/Submissions:(not a whole lot, but it has been fun regardless!) Tokyo Trend Researcher for Italian Company, Flak Magazine, Coming Up for Air, Japan Visitor, Amaterasu Webzine, Gunma Prefecture Teaching Handbook, JET Journal, Shirasawa Newsletter, Design Festa 2004/2005, Gaijin Eye 2006, Camera Project 2006. If any of you could give advice on how to make a portfolio, I would love to hear it!
